Welcome to the new Vet Record Careers website
We have redesigned the site and launched some new features that will enable you to find your dream job as quickly as possible. Also, for the first time we have all of The Veterinary Record’s classified ads online so, as well as jobs, you can find courses, notices and services.
So what’s changed? Here are some of the new features of the site:
- Jobs and other ads are now posted daily instead of just once a week. Remember to check the site every day so you don’t miss that post you’ve been waiting for.
- Once you’ve registered, you can set up an email alert that will send you jobs that match your search criteria. You can now set these alerts to be weekly or daily.
- You can set up an RSS feed based on your search. New ads that match your search will be added to your feed as soon as they’re posted on the site. All you need is a modern web browser like Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox.
- As well as saving searches, you can save ads that you want to keep and look at later. Just click on ‘save to my profile’ at the bottom of an ad.
- We have a new search based on category, classification and sub-classification. You can make your search as wide as you want, by choosing a category and clicking ‘submit’, or you can fine-tune it using the optional filters.
- Each week, we'll publish articles that will help you with your career, with stories on everything from preparing a winning CV to making a career change. We'll also be chatting to important people in the industry about what motivates them in their careers.
- As well as job ads, you can now find all of The Veterinary Record’s classified ads on the site. So if you’re looking for a course, a notice or announcement, or a veterinary service, just click on the ‘Search courses, events, services’ button.
- Some job ads have supplementary information, such as a job description or an application form, attached at the bottom. If you see the ‘adplus’ symbol on an ad in the print journal, enter its ad number on the job search to find the ad on the website to download its extra documents.

If you have any questions feel free to email us. We’d love to hear your feedback.
